Stellar MD Editor is a lightweight editor for plain-text and Markdown files stored in Google Drive™, published by VedAIspace (vedaispace.com). It is free, and designed to collect as little data as technically possible.

What the app can access

The app uses the Google Drive™ drive.file OAuth scope. This means it can only access the specific files you explicitly open with it (via "Open with" in Google Drive™) or create through it. It cannot see, list, or search anything else.

What happens to your data

• File contents are transferred directly between your browser and Google Drive™ over HTTPS.
• The app has no server of its own. Your file contents are never sent to, stored on, or processed by any third-party server.
• The app uses no analytics, no tracking, no cookies, and no advertising.
• To avoid a sign-in prompt for every file, the app keeps a short-lived Google sign-in token (valid for about an hour) in your browser's local storage. It stays in your browser and is only ever sent to Google, never to anyone else.
• Beyond that token, nothing about you or your files is retained after you close the tab.

Stellar MD Editor's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Revoking access

You can revoke the app's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
